Yes you are right were do they go if no one is willing to help them because everyone who is labeled as a sex offender is not some are just in the wrong place at the wrong time and yet you tell them that they have to find there own way and even when they are trying you keep closing doors in there faces.
The absurb regulations placed on this population have forced those in the legal realms to take enormous time and brainpower that would have otherwise been spent on legal analysis that would have otherwise helped moved the country further forward over the last 20 years or so. To the functional point of the post, I would imagine that sex offenders going to a shelter in a CAT5 hurricane probably want what the rest of the shelter-ees want….
In fact one of the classic signals that identify sexual predators is their willingness to defend acceptance of them or their actions in any manner. Are you hiding something from us Ed? Single parents would be required to surrender custody of their child if they are on the register. I work in a prison system seeking a place for a sex offender to receive shelter, as he is homeless.
He has turned his life over to a more spiritual life. I have been unable to find any assistance out there which means he may have to go back into the woods to live.

It would be nice if there were supervised facilities or a residence of some sort that could help a former sex offender get back on his feet. With no supervision and just living out there in the woods I consider this to be a possible danger. Again, it would be nice if there were supervised homeless shelters specifically designated for sex offenders, in which they can also be educated. If there is no place for them to go, they can end up re-offending just so they could go back into prison, as prison seem to be the only place that will accept them.
